Goodbye 2015, Hello 2016!

Happy New Year everyone! It's crazy that 2015 is over and 2016 is finally here! This year personally has been crazy for me in every aspect of my life. But one thing I really enjoyed this year was coming back to blogging. I've been very on-and-off with my blog, and at the end of 2015 I made the commitment to stick with it as long as I can. I've put out many posts over the past few months and I wanted to reflect of some of your favorites, and my own personal favorites!

They are the Wet N' Wild ColorIcon Contouring Palette's in Caramel Toffee and Dulce De Leche. These palettes are exclusively at Wal-Mart right now, but hopefully you will be able to find them in other drugstores soon.

I won her Stila giveaway a few months ago and I've been so excited to do this post since I received it! You should all go follow her on Twitter, Youtube and check out and her blog because she is beautiful!

Review + Swatches | Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color in Seduction

I'm back with another review! I've been seeing displays for this new product from Revlon, and it is the Ultra HD Matte Lip Color. This really intrigued be because liquid lipsticks have been all the range, and finding something like this at the drugstore is amazing. I believe there are around 8-10 shades in the line, but I have mine in Seduction, which is the most neutral one.

Top Tuesday | Top 5 Mascaras

Review on these mascaras: Benefit They're Real Covergirl Super Sizer Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Benefit Roller Lash Maybelline Lash Sensational
Today I wanted to do a post talking about my favorites mascaras! I basically use mascara every single day because I think it makes a huge difference on your face. It makes your eyes look more awake and your lashes look fantastic! These are five of my favorite mascaras that I have recently come to love, and others I have repurchased many times.

This blush lasts for how long? | Mac Extra Dimension Blush in Autoerotique

Mac Extra Dimension Blush in Autoerotique review
When my sister approached me at the end of the day and told me my cheeks looked really pink, I thought it was an insult or something. But then I looked into the mirror and noticed wow, my cheeks are pink! My blush is still on! It was the end of a very long 10 hour day and my makeup was a mess, but my blush still looked fresh and bright. And this was all because of the Mac Extra Dimension Blush in Autoerotique.

Loving Some Minis

If you're like me then you probably love makeup minis! Getting these for 100 points at Sephora seems a little ridiculous, but sometimes they come in sets as a free gift. I love mini products becuase it gives me the chance to try a new product, and if I love it I can bring it with me on the go. So today I wanted to share some of my favorite minis that I would consider repurchasing once I (hopefully) finish the sample size!

My Mac Pro Palette

If you're a makeup lover, chances are you've tried a few Mac products over the years. I got my Mac eyeshadow palette a few years ago and I've slowly been depotting, buying and filling it shadows. The blank palette itself was only $8 and a few of the shadows I bought were from CCO (discounted makeup store) so this palette so far has been very budget friendly!

Top Tuesday | The Nude Lip

Top Nude Lip from Colour Pop Midi Bobbi Brown Milani Naked Matte Mac Hue
If you know me pretty well then you know that I never, ever, wear dark lip colors. I'm not sure if it's a fear, or if I just don't like the way it looks, but I never wear dark lip products. But I do love my nude lip colors so I wanted to do a post today sharing some of my favorites!

MOTD for Fall | November

I haven't done a MOTD in the longest time! I believe this only my second MOTD but whatever! I would like to do more of these posts because it's almost like a favorites post, but I can show you guys what I love to use on my face every day!

Why I Stopped Wearing Eyeliner

I think eyeliner was the first makeup item I ever tried. When I was around 12 I would put some black liner in my waterline and be ready for the day! Those were definitely my awkward days! But here I am ten years later and my makeup routine has drastically changed. I learned about mascara, eyebrows, primers, foundations, eyeshadows and liquid liner.

Review | Colour Pop Blush in Between the Sheets

Hello everyone! Today I am reviewing the Colour Pop blush in Between the Sheets. I purchased my first Colour Pop eyeshadows a few years ago (review here) and ever since then I have been loving the texture and finishes of the shadows. So when I heard a while ago that they were coming out with blushes with a very similar finish to the eyeshadows, I couldn't wait to try it! Starting with the size of these blushes, they are .5oz larger than the eyeshadows. They also run for $8, as opposed to the shadows which are $5. And the texture- the same as the shadows! It is kind of soft and mousse-y - but still very solid.

Best in Beauty | October 2015

It's that time of the month again- monthly favorites! I really love doing, and reading these posts because it's a great time to catch up and reflect on the last month. A lot of these makeup products bring up memories from this past month so I love going back to talk about these products and relive the memories!

My Night Table Essentials

As I was thinking of new posts to write I was sitting in bed late at night reaching for my favorite lip balm. And I thought, "hey, let me write a post about my night table essentials!" As a disclaimer, I actually do not have a night table, but these are things I always need near me at easy reach at night

Review + Swatches | Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Hot Spice

I recently did an Ulta haul (link here) and one of the new and exciting items I picked up was the Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Hot Spice. I know that the brand Makeup revolution is originally from the UK, so the fact that it's hear in the US is really exciting! And probably the best part about the brand is the price point. This palette is only $10 - What?! If you're familiar with the brand elf (the cheapest makeup brand like ever) this palette is definitely in that range. With elf you can get a four-blush palette for $6 and here you are getting 8 blushes and highlights for only $10. AND since this is only sold at Ulta, you can use a $3.50 coupon and get it for around $7!

All About Matte

Recently I feel like people have been all about the dewy-glowy look. If you take a look at the highlight craze, like Becca and The Balm everyone loves to load on the highlight. But maybe because I have oily skin, I love a matte look and a drop of highlight. I've also been loving the matte look on the lips and the eyes! While the dewy face look is popular, the matte liquid lipsticks have also been on trend.

This post is a little different from what I normally. I guess this is a mix of a ramble and some recent favorite products. I want to talk about my favorite matte eyeshadows, mattifying powders, matte blushes, and matte lips.

Let's get into it!

Review | Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation

Finding an everyday foundation can be really difficult, especially from the drugstore. Honestly, most of my face products are from the drugstore. This can be kind of risky because all I have to rely on are reviews online. But because of the price point I take the risk and purchase foundations that really intrigue me.

Fall Wishlist

Fall is approaching and every season I love coming up with wish lists of new things I want to try! With each season comes changes in beauty and fashion. Which means my wardrobe needs some new pieces so I like to splurge or find great deals to change up my style.

Affordable DIY | Marble Tray

I don't know when it happened, but marble suddenly became a very popular texture. I've been seeing laptop covers, blog background pictures, plates and trays, like this one. You can purchase the cute trays and plates as room decor for your room, but stores like Target and other places have it for a pretty steep price.

Morphe Brushes Review | Worth The Hype?

There is one thing I love, and it's makeup brushes. I love finding new and affordable brands that are just as good, or even better than brands like MAC or Sephora. Most of my brush collection consists of Sigma, Real Techniques and elf. Sigma is the only expensive brush brand I would buy, but after discovering Morphe I know that those Sigma brushes are very dupe-able.

MOVING | Finding a Blog Name is Hard

If something about the website you're on now looks familiar and strange, it's because I've switched URLS. I was previously but I have now switch my URL to

Ulta Haul | NYX, Makeup Revolution & More!

ulta, makeup, haul, beauty
If there is one thing I love, it's shopping. And one thing I love more is shopping for beauty products. What makes it EVEN better is when there are great savings! At the beginning of the week Ulta was having a great sale- free shipping on orders over $25, NYX was buy one get one free, there was a $5 off of $15 coupon and you get an additional 200 points for a $45+ purchase (valued at around $4). So I thought, EH why not!

Top Tuesday | Top 5 Brow Products

Recently I've really been getting into doing my brows. It's something I never saw myself doing a year ago. When I first started experimenting with my brows I used an elf clear/tinted brow duo and it worked for while but then I realized my brows needed a little more TLC. I have pretty sparse brows so I want something that can keep the shape, but fill them in.

My Favorite Iphone Apps

Who doesn't love app recommendations? I'm assuming we all have an Iphone or Android, and something I love seeing it what apps people are using. I love getting recommendations and finding new apps to play around with and try.

Best in Beauty | September 2015

This month I've really been trying to focus on finding the "perfect foundation routine." My eyes are something I've been going more simple with this month so I wanted a flawless long lasting face. The one product that has truly been a hit for me this month is the Maybelline Fit Me Foundation Matte+Poreless. This is my new go-to foundation! I know when I put it on it gives me full coverage, feels light and will last all day. I also do believe that it keeps my poreless and semi-shine free. I have pretty oil skin, especially in the T-zone. And compared to my other foundations this keeps me matte for most of the day without blotting.

Fergie Wet N' Wild Primer | The Only Eyeshadow Primer You Need

Over the past few years I have tried all the classic eyeshadow primers- Urban Decay Primer Potion, MAC Paint Pot, NARS, Too Faced and many more! I have EXTREMELY oily eyelids and all of these primers creased on me within a few hours. They worked great if I needed it for four hours the least, but anytime after that it would just crease.
