Best in Beauty | October 2015

It's that time of the month again- monthly favorites! I really love doing, and reading these posts because it's a great time to catch up and reflect on the last month. A lot of these makeup products bring up memories from this past month so I love going back to talk about these products and relive the memories!

My Night Table Essentials

As I was thinking of new posts to write I was sitting in bed late at night reaching for my favorite lip balm. And I thought, "hey, let me write a post about my night table essentials!" As a disclaimer, I actually do not have a night table, but these are things I always need near me at easy reach at night

Review + Swatches | Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Hot Spice

I recently did an Ulta haul (link here) and one of the new and exciting items I picked up was the Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush Palette in Hot Spice. I know that the brand Makeup revolution is originally from the UK, so the fact that it's hear in the US is really exciting! And probably the best part about the brand is the price point. This palette is only $10 - What?! If you're familiar with the brand elf (the cheapest makeup brand like ever) this palette is definitely in that range. With elf you can get a four-blush palette for $6 and here you are getting 8 blushes and highlights for only $10. AND since this is only sold at Ulta, you can use a $3.50 coupon and get it for around $7!

All About Matte

Recently I feel like people have been all about the dewy-glowy look. If you take a look at the highlight craze, like Becca and The Balm everyone loves to load on the highlight. But maybe because I have oily skin, I love a matte look and a drop of highlight. I've also been loving the matte look on the lips and the eyes! While the dewy face look is popular, the matte liquid lipsticks have also been on trend.

This post is a little different from what I normally. I guess this is a mix of a ramble and some recent favorite products. I want to talk about my favorite matte eyeshadows, mattifying powders, matte blushes, and matte lips.

Let's get into it!

Review | Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation

Finding an everyday foundation can be really difficult, especially from the drugstore. Honestly, most of my face products are from the drugstore. This can be kind of risky because all I have to rely on are reviews online. But because of the price point I take the risk and purchase foundations that really intrigue me.

Fall Wishlist

Fall is approaching and every season I love coming up with wish lists of new things I want to try! With each season comes changes in beauty and fashion. Which means my wardrobe needs some new pieces so I like to splurge or find great deals to change up my style.

Affordable DIY | Marble Tray

I don't know when it happened, but marble suddenly became a very popular texture. I've been seeing laptop covers, blog background pictures, plates and trays, like this one. You can purchase the cute trays and plates as room decor for your room, but stores like Target and other places have it for a pretty steep price.

Morphe Brushes Review | Worth The Hype?

There is one thing I love, and it's makeup brushes. I love finding new and affordable brands that are just as good, or even better than brands like MAC or Sephora. Most of my brush collection consists of Sigma, Real Techniques and elf. Sigma is the only expensive brush brand I would buy, but after discovering Morphe I know that those Sigma brushes are very dupe-able.

MOVING | Finding a Blog Name is Hard

If something about the website you're on now looks familiar and strange, it's because I've switched URLS. I was previously but I have now switch my URL to

Ulta Haul | NYX, Makeup Revolution & More!

ulta, makeup, haul, beauty
If there is one thing I love, it's shopping. And one thing I love more is shopping for beauty products. What makes it EVEN better is when there are great savings! At the beginning of the week Ulta was having a great sale- free shipping on orders over $25, NYX was buy one get one free, there was a $5 off of $15 coupon and you get an additional 200 points for a $45+ purchase (valued at around $4). So I thought, EH why not!
