Best in Beauty | October 2015

It's that time of the month again- monthly favorites! I really love doing, and reading these posts because it's a great time to catch up and reflect on the last month. A lot of these makeup products bring up memories from this past month so I love going back to talk about these products and relive the memories!

My first favorite this month has been the Lorac Pro Matte palette. This was my first ever Lorac purchase and I'm in love! The shadows are so soft and creamy, so I love the way they look, last and blend. It's a perfect combination of matte shadows which I love to use alone or combine with other eyeshadows. Definitely check it out if you're looking for a compact palette to use with many different looks and shadows!

Next up is the Real Techniques Bold Metal Brush in 100. When I first heard about this collection from Real Techniques I thought the price was wayyyyy to high for drugstore brushes ($25!). But I was able to get this at Bed Bath and Beyond during a great sale for almost 50%. So I justified the price, bought it and now I love it! First, just holding the brush you feel really fancy and luxurious. But the brush itself is really soft and I love it for patting in powder. I normally use big fluffy brushes so have a paddle type brush this is a change.

I've also been loving the NYX HD Finishing Powder in Banana (which I mentioned in my Ulta haul here). This has been an amazing powder for setting my under eye. I use my elf tapered brush to set under my eyes and it prevents creasing and it doesn't make my under eye look cakey. Love this!

Something different I've been loving this month is the Versace Bright Crystal Rollerball Perfume. I can't get this smell out of my head! It's just a perfect scent- I can smell like this all the time! I'm terrible at describing scents but definitely go out and smell this- I think many people will love it!

Next, I've been enjoying the Benefit Boxed Blush in Dallas (I mentioned this and the Lorac Pro Matte palette, in my "All About Matte" post here too!). This is just an all-around great blush! It's a soft mauve tone with some bronze-ness in it so I double it as a blush and bronzer. It's just my go-to everyday shade because it looks great with any look!

Lastly is the Maybelline Superstay Better Skin Foundation. I did a whole post here about it, but basically I love it! It gives me a natural look for every day with medium-full coverage. The finish is a semi-matte and I feel it keeps my skin looking fresh all day.

  4. Awww that Real Techniques brush is just stunning! I badly want it, it looks fab! I've been using the Maybelline better skin foundation and really like it. I must say though, your packaging looks a lot better than mine! Yours looks high end and mine just looks cheap aha! Must be because mine is from the UK :) xx

  5. i like the original RT brushes and when i saw the latest launches i wanted to try them but the originals were pretty good already and i'm not hard up for new brushes right now. great job on getting it for 50% off!!! that makes it worth it. $12.50 for a face brush is quite acceptable.

  14. I really need a Lorac palette lol, they look so pigmented when I see them used in tutorials. My favourite this month would have to be my Naked Palette and MUA skin define Hydro Powder :)

  24. Great favourites! I've wanted Dallas for so long, I seriously eye it off every time I walk past the Benefit counter! I recently got the blush brush from the Bold Metals collection and I really like it, but the powder brush is definitely next on my list, it looks lovely.
