My Tips for Saving and MAKING Money on Makeup

Hello everyone! Today I am doing a post on my go-to tips for saving money on makeup. Some of these tips might seem super obvious, but I thought I would share them anyways in case some people don't know. Please comment down below your favorite money saving tips so we can all read them and gain some new insight into the makeup-shopping world!

Ebates
This is my go-to, all time favorite, holy grail way for making money on makeup! If you don't know what Ebates is, it's a website which gives you cashback on purchases you make online. I've been doing this for months and I've received $100+ back on purchases I was already planning on making.

The way it works is that before you shop a website go to Ebates.com and search for the store you want to shop. It will tell you the percent back that day (Sephora was 10% last week!), and then you click "shop now." It will take you to the retailer's website and you shop as usual!

Plus, you get a gift card for signing up!

Reward Programs
This might seem pretty obvious, but reward programs are the best! Honestly, my favorite is Ulta! I hardly shop at Sephora anymore because Ulta's program is 1000000x better. At Ulta for every 100 points or so you get $3 off any purchase (high end and drugstore). And over time you build up points and save 10's of dollars on makeup.

Also, places like CVS and Walgreens have point programs which you can build up for coupons and discounts off of your purchases.

Sales
Sales are the best when it comes to makeup! If there is something you know you don't need immediately, always wait for a sale! Ulta does 20% coupons off your entire purchase every few months, but they have drugstore coupons every week. Sephora only has their 20% sale and gift card sale once a year, but I literally save up a list so I know exactly what I want!

By waiting for these sales you can save a ton of money on makeup! Also, if you order it online, you can use Ebates for extra savings!

CCO (Cosmetic Company Outlet)
If you live in the US and never been to a CCO, you HAVE TO GO! It's basically an outlet store for makeup! They have discontinued Mac collections, Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder and more, all for a discount! Sometimes 20% off or more the original price.

Gifts/Gift Cards
This one might seem super obvious but with the holidays coming up you can ask your friends and loved ones for gift cards. By asking for gift cards you can save them up and use them on things you really want. Or, if there are makeup items you want, you can create a wishlist and give it to your friends and family so they know exactly what to get you.
