Review + Swatches | Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color in Seduction

I'm back with another review! I've been seeing displays for this new product from Revlon, and it is the Ultra HD Matte Lip Color. This really intrigued be because liquid lipsticks have been all the range, and finding something like this at the drugstore is amazing. I believe there are around 8-10 shades in the line, but I have mine in Seduction, which is the most neutral one.

Packaging
First off, I am obsessed with the packaging. It's a very slim, frosted tube, which I think is beautiful.

Applicator
The wand is a doe-foot applicator that is flat on each side which makes it easy to glide the color on your lips.

Formula/Lasting Power
I would say the formula is pretty traditional for a liquid lipstick. It's not too thick and one dip in the product can cover your lips.

Really, the only negative about this is the lasting power. I feel it never truly sets- it's almost like a lipgloss. It doesn't feel sticky but when you rub your lips you feel the product and you can move it around.

So, because it never really sets, it does not last as long as something like my Colour Pop liquid lipsticks which do set and literally last for hours.

Also, I would say it does not dry totally matte. I would say more of a satin finish, but it's not glossy on the lips.

Scent
The scent of this is a vanilla-candy scent. I personally love the scent, but I don't find it lasts more than a few minutes.

Shade
I would describe this shade as a warmer pink nude. I think this color can look amazing on almost anyone and it's not too nude that it would wash you out.

Overall
Overall I do love this! The pigmentation is amazing and the color is gorgeous. But if you are looking for something long wearing, this is not it. It never truly sets on the lips which I don't mind because the product does not feel sticky. Although it does not dry totally matte I love the finish of it and I usually wear it as a lipgloss type product- I want the color but I know it won't last so long.

  3. I was so excited to try these because I love matte liquid lipsticks but I've heard so many things about these not being matte at all. I'm glad you're still liking it though!

  6. This looks like a really nice wearable shade, I'm loving the frosted packaging as well, I think it makes it look so much more expensive than Revlon!

  8. Great review! I think the packaging is beaut, but the fact you find it comparable to a lipgloss has totally put me off! I definitely prefer something totally matte and long lasting!xx

  12. Since Tati has made a review of this on her channel I've been dying to try it. It might be a nice change compared to Colourpop, which is super drying :)
