Good afternoon! I'm sorry today's post is going up a little late. I've been super busy this week and I'm so relieved I found the time to sit down and write a post. Today, I am sharing my April favorites! There are so many things I have been trying and loving this month.

This is an old favorite for some, but the Smashbox Primer Water is something I picked up to try this month. Ulta has been having some amazing deals, one of which was the Smashbox Primer Water for 50%. Recently my skin has been very combo, I have some dry patches but I also get oily in my T-Zone. So I love this for my dry patches as a base for my makeup. It creates a nice layer for my primer and other face products. It keeps those dry patches from showing through, but it doesn't make me extremely oily.

Everyone has to go out right now and pick up the Wet N' Wild Flat Top Brush. These new Wet N' Wild brushes are some of the best I've tried from the drugstore. I just posted on Instagram some new ones I've picked up because I loved the flat top one so much. The face brushes are $3 and the eye brushes are $1. This is so weird for me to say, but I think these are better than elf brushes. which are also $3 and $1. The Wet N' Wild ones are super, super soft, and they feel like much better quality.

Over the past few years I have been hearing a lot about Gerard Cosmetics. I finally made an order and picked up the Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick in Butter Cup and some of their lip glosses. This month the lipstick really stood out to me as an every day and very versatile lipstick. It's the perfect nude shade I can wear alone, or top with any gloss. It's super creamy, pigmented, and feels great on the lips. Plus, the packaging is adorable!

I think I've found my perfect liquid lipstick shade, and it is the Too Faced Melted Matte Liquified in Child Star. This is a truly a MLBB color, but it has a purple/mauve undertone which I love. This isn't too drying on the lips, but I love it mainly for the color. Right now only Sephora carries this so when I tried it on my lips in the store, I fell in love, and knew I had to own it.

I signed up for Ipsy again this month and my favorite item in my bag is the Luxie Beauty 522 Tapered Highlighting Brush. I've tried Luxie brushes from my other Ipsy bags, but this one is my favorite. It's the perfect size for applying highlighter, or setting the under eye with powder. It's super soft and great quality. I also love the light blue handle!

This is my greatest discovery of the month, and it is the Cinema Secrets Makeup Brush Cleanser. If you want a quick in between clean for your brushes, this is it! You spray it 1-3 times on your brush, wipe it on a towel, let it dry for a few minutes and your brush is as a good as new. It gets rid of any powder or liquid product on your brushes without doing a deep clean. Plus, it leaves a slight vanilla scent which I really like.

This month I have been doing a lot of quick makeup looks, and for my face I love using the Tarte BB Tinted Primer. This is a tinted primer, which I use over my face, and use a powder foundation on top to set it and give it some extra coverage. It's a very moussey primer, and it feels very similar to the Benefit Porefessional (my holy-grail primer). It gives my skin a soft even canvas to apply either a powder foundation or a liquid foundation. The tint it gives has pretty good coverage and I find it does a pretty good job at hiding redness.

My last favorite is the Benefit Hervana Blush and I'm not kidding when I say that I have been wanting this blush for years. I love all Benefit boxed blushes, but this one might be my favorite. It has swirls of light pink, pink and a light purple which you mix together to create the perfect purple-pink shade. I love it for every day because it gives my cheeks the most natural flush.

What are your favorites this month?

  6. I like the sound of that smashbox primer, I love their blusher I bought from them last year and still loads left.

I will check out those brushes, I aways find some cheaper brushes are better. I paid 13 pounds for one and it was rubbish and then 15 pounds for make up revolution ones for a set and they are by far the best.
