Daily Dupe | NARS vs Sleek | Why Am I Trashing Both?

I think almost everyone reading this post has heard/seen the Nars Orgasm blush- it's basically a cult favorite. When I first entered the beauty world it was the blush everyone raved about and loved, so naturally I had to get it. Here I am, a few years later, telling you guys about a dupe for the cult favorite blush.

A dupe I have found for Nars Orgasm ($30) is the Sleek blush in Rose Gold ($6.99). Guys, these are extremely similar. They are both shimmery pink blushes with a gold undertone. You can take a look at the swatches below and see for yourself. I actually found that the Nars blush was more sheer and had more chunks of glitter. While the Sleek blush was softer, more pigmented, but had a more prominent gold sheen.

If I am being really honest here, yes these are a dupe for one another, but I literally never use them! I'm not sure what I was thinking buying two very shimmery blushes. The color is too bright for me, and find it accentuates my pores and texture on my skin.

So yes, the Sleek blush in Rose Gold is a dupe for the Nars Orgasm. The Sleek blush has a soft texture, great pigmentation, and best of all, super affordable. But for my skin the shade just doesn't work, so unfortunately I will be giving away both of these blushes. I think I have used each of them 1-2, which is a shade because the Nars blush is so expensive and the Sleek blush is a great product overall.

  1. I really don't like the idea of a shimmery blush either - I'm so conscious about how visible my pores are that these sound like something to avoid. They do however look incredibly similar, so the Sleek seems like a great dupe!

  4. I've been aware of this as a dupe for a couple of years but since I own Orgasm, there is no point it me buying the Sleek offering. When I first bought the Nars favourite I used it all the time but I think I was too caught up in the hype, but now I hardly use it. I want to buy Sin from them as that seems way more my colour. I don't mind sleek blushes but due to their high pigmentation I feel like I have to try to hard to not look like I've been slapped in the cheeks!

  5. I got Orgasm much later as part of a palette and I was underwhelmed too. Deep Throat is a much better shade!

  8. I have the sleek one. I rarely use it. I've been wanted to try the NARS one for ages, but i think i'll dig the sleek one out instead. How annoying they don't work for you xx

  9. Oh no! I'm literally so close to purchasing the Nars one, but it's a shame that you don't use them enough. I don't own enough pink toned blushers so I reckon I'd get more use out of them (hopefully!) xx

  10. There is also an ELF dupe but I can't remember the name of it, it's also very bright and has the same type of sparkly bits in it, I totally hated that blush on me. Luckily I tried the cheap alternative before splurging on NARS! X

  12. Wow! Those really are identical! I've totally forgotten I have orgasm in my collection, however it was one I used A LOT in high school, when it was definitely at the peak of its popularity.

  14. I have Sleek Rose Gold and really like it just on the tops of my cheekbones as more of a highlight - it can definitely show up pores otherwise though!

  19. i know exactly what you mean about these brushes, they're just not very wearable shades! it's a shame that sleek and nars insist on always using these shades in their palettes!

  21. Orgasm was my first NARS blush and whilst I do like it, it's far from my favourite of theirs! I agree that the shimmer is a bit too golden and strong.

I used to have this Sleek blush but I dropped it and it smashed, it was very very similar though.

  23. Such a great dupe! I have both, but I actually do wear them. I'm not sure if you can get Milani in the UK, but their baked blushes are really great, too!

  24. They both look so similar! I had an ELF Blush which looked just like the two above but I literally never wore it. It was far too bright for me and my skintone so I threw it away! x
