Review | Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation | The Foundation Everyone Needs in Their Collection

If you know anything about me when it comes to makeup, you would know that I pretty pale and I can be cheap when it comes to buying high-end makeup. I am not one to splurge on makeup from Sephora unless it's something really amazing. If there is one foundation I could recommend to everyone, it would be this one. The Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation, in my opinion, is a foundation that can work for any skin type and skin color.

For reference, I am almost always the lightest shade in every face product. But when I went to Sephora to get matched for the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation, I got matched with the shade 117=Y225-Marble. This foundation range has such an amazing range, 36 shades to be exact, so I was able to find my perfect match. It covers up all my redness and matched perfectly with my neck.

As for the formula, I am mostly oily, but I tend to have dry patches in the winter, I know it's weird. But this foundation works amazing for all of my skin needs! I can wear this to an event or special occasion and I know I won't get extremely oily, but my dry patches won't show.

My favorite part about this is how well it looks in pictures. I have worn this for many professional photos and there was no white cast, and it does not make me look to pale or extremely orange. It just works so well with all my skin needs. I apply it with a beauty blender or a brush, but I think almost any tool you use with this will work.

This is a pretty liquidy foundation and it doesn't set too quickly so you can have time to blend it into your skin. That's another thing! It's so lightweight, you can use one pump of this, or build it up for maximum coverage, and it won't look cakey.

Like I said before, I am not someone to go and spend $40 on a foundation. 95% of my foundations are from the drugstore, $10 or less. But I am sooo happy I bought this foundation, and I will continue to repurchase it.

If you are on the hunt for the perfect foundation, search no more! Everyone should go to their local Sephora and get color matched for this. Just try it on your face once and you will understand why it is so amazing!

  1. MUFE always have good offerings in their line up and they rarely disappoint. Yes, I want to try this one but at the same time I'm also curious to try their velvet matte foundation as well, both are touted as great for oily skin. Have you tried that one?

  2. You have the exact same skin as I initially used to have! Now I'm mostly normal but dry patches are still here so I'm glad that this foundation is right! I've been eyeing it out for literal months and I still can't bring myself to buy it since it's hard to get where I live. But your review gave another plus to my scale! xo

  5. This sounds like an amazing foundation - I'm going to have to check it out soon. x

  6. Everybody is raving about this foundation, maybe it's time to try x

  7. I have the original formula and I'm literally down to the last dregs of the bottle so I will be trying this version soon. I might wait until I go to Vegas later in the year as there's a fab branch of Sephora with a large MUFE concession and the girls in there are so great.

  9. Glad to hear this foundation worked out for you! It sounds like it was definitely worth the splurge. I had tried it before but it oxidized on me :(

  10. I had a tester of this recently and was colour matched as the very lightest shade. I wore it to work and everyone told me how pale I looked, which was a bummer! Other than the shade mishap, I absolutely loved this foundation. I can't wait til I have the time to get a few more testers and eventually buy it! Have you got a swatch picture of this?xx

    1. I had the same problem! I love this foundation but I'm between the two lightest shades. One is a little too pale and the next is a little too orange... What I do now is I wear the lightest shade (Y205 I think) and warm it up with MUFE Pro Finish Powder in 113. (Which is also amazing and which I wear on its own when I feel lazy).

  11. This foundation sounds perfect for me! Like you I am also the palest shade in any product going and I often struggle to find a foundation which matches my skintone perfectly. I also have oily skin but in the winter my cheeks get really dry so this sounds perfect. Great post! x

  14. I am always hearing amazing things about this foundation. I really want to try it but I'm in the UK and we don't have Sephora here, and my city doesn't have a MUFE counter in any of the department stores! I hate buying foundation online just incase I don't get the right colour match! Hopefully one day I will get my hands on this foundation!
