The Best Travel Palettes

The Best Travel Palettes Lorac Pro Matte Eyeshadow Palette Lorac Pro Contour Palette e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Total Face Palette Tarte Rainforest After Dark Urban Decay Naked Palette
Happy Sunday everyone! The weekend is here, and I love going on road trips and traveling to friends and family on the weekend. One of the struggles of traveling for a makeup addict like myself is packing all the makeup I need, but with the least amount of products. For that, I have my go-to travel palettes, whether it's an all-in-one eyeshadow palette, a complete face palette, or a face/eye palette to really get the job done.

To preface all of these palettes, most of them are high end, and this is because the drugstore does not offer many palettes. I also love all of these palettes for traveling because they all contain a nice sized mirror. This is super important when I travel, just in case I can't use a large mirror/if the lighting isn't' good.

My favorite small eyeshadow palette I love to bring when I travel is the Lorac Pro Matte Eyeshadow Palette. I mainly love this palette for the quality, Lorac makes the best shadows because they are super creamy and pigmented. This is an all matte mini palette that has almost everyday basic matte shade you could need. This is small, compact and has a mirror which makes it perfect for travel. I feel like I can complete all my looks with this palette, but I might bring a single shimmer shade if I want to create a more shimmery look.

For face palettes, I love bringing along my Lorac Pro Contour Palette. When I travel with this, I normally only bring it when I want a more defined and glam look. This palette has everything I need to highlight and contour- shimmery highlight, yellow highlight, beige highlighting, contour and bronze shade. I mentioned this in my Contouring for Fair Skin post, and I think many people can enjoy that this is an all-in-one contour palette.

If you're on a budget, the e.l.f. Beautifully Bare Total Face Palette is a beautiful face palette to bring when you travel. I did some swatches of this in my Currently Trying post, and I have been loving this ever since. It has a blush, bronzer, and shimmery highlight so you can easily finish up any makeup look with this.

If you really want a palette that has everything, then I highly recommend the Tarte Rainforest After Dark. I bought this palette a while ago but didn't realize how much I loved it until recently. First of all, for traveling it's perfect because it's a hard case and has a mirror. This contains a beautiful (full size) Amazonian Clay blush, which I think many people will love. It also has a bronzer, highlight and six eyeshadows that have a mix of matte and shimmer. Definitely, if you're on a packing limit, this is a perfect palette to bring along.

The last palette I recommend is the Urban Decay Naked Palette, which I'm sure many of you have seen/own. This is truly the all-in-one eyeshadow palette because it has a beautiful range of matte and shimmers. I use this palette on a daily basis because I can create natural looks for the day, and more shimmery/dramatic looks for the night.

  3. I love the look of that Lorac eyeshadow palette. It definitely looks ideal for travelling. I've only tried one eyeshadow palette from them but I was thoroughly impressed! If I ever come across this, I'm going to snatch it without a doubt! :)

  4. I actually take with me the original Lorac Pro Palette most of the times. Mostly because it's all wearable shades (except for Slate haha) and because it's super slim. I saw a mini one the other day, Tartelette Tease, it looked sooo pretty, I wasn't sure if I should get it or not. x
