Ulta Haul | Feat. Anastasia, Tarte, and More! | Tarte Double Duty Beauty Don't Be Afraid to Dazzle Contour and Highlight Palette NYX Angel Veil Primer Tarte Double Duty Shape Tape Concealer Benefit Gimme Brow Benefit Hoola Lite Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette
Happy weekend! For today's post, I'll be sharing some items I recently picked up from Ulta. They periodically give out 20% coupons to Platinum members, which works on most high-end brands. I saw this as a perfect opportunity to try out some new things- but of course, it wasn't totally necessary! If you bought anything recently at Ulta that you did or didn't enjoy, let me know in the comments! I love discovering new products!

The first thing I picked up is the Tarte Double Duty Beauty Don't Be Afraid to Dazzle Contour and Highlight Palette. I haven't heard anything about this palette, but I saw it on display and really wanted to give it a try! I have fair skin, but the contour and highlight shade work really well- it also smells like chocolate! The con of this palette is that it only comes in one shade, and if you're darker than a medium skin tone, these shades might not work for you. The packaging is gorgeous and you get a lot of product in this.

I also picked up the NYX Angel Veil Primer. I've never tried this, but based one 1-2 uses it's a very thin and velvety primer. I find it blurs my pores and creates a nice canvas for my makeup. I also find this to be more hydrating than my other primers, which will be perfect for the warmer weather.

I'm sure everyone has heard of this, but I picked up another Tarte Double Duty Shape Tape Concealer. I have this in two shades- one more under my eyes and a darker shade that matches my face to cover up blemishes. I have a full review on this, check it out!

Next, I picked up the Benefit Gimme Brow. Honestly, this is much smaller than I expected. This is a great brow product because it has a small brush so it can really precisely fill in and color your brows. However, there is very little product and I'm interested to see how long this will last me.

The next thing I picked up is a newer product, and it is Benefit Hoola Lite. The regular Hoola bronzer is a cult favorite, and I thought this lite version would work well for my fair skin. However, I find this is too light for my skin and works better as a product to warm up my skin, and not really for contouring. But I have been enjoying this and have been using it every day to warm up my complexion.

The last thing  I picked up is the most exciting, and it is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette. I'm not sure what took me so long to try this, but I am in love! Let me know if you want to see a full review on this, but after a few uses I am very impressed. The shadows are beautifully pigmented, and I love the looks I have created so far.

  1. Ulta sounds like such a dreamy shop, it sounds like what we have over in England called Debenhams! I will have to come over to the other side some day to check it out for real. I'd really like to try Hoola Lite but definitely need to see it in real life before I commit, in case it's too light for me.

  5. The Hoola Cosmetics bronzer is the best thing ever! I have been using the original bronzer forever. It looks like there's no product inside the box but, it lasts for ages. I'd love to try out their lite series though.

  7. Hi! I’m so glad that I found your review! I was hoping to ask you a silly question. I just bought the ABH Modern Renaissance palette off of Poshmark because I had to have it but I'm on a budget. :( Anyway, when I received it I noticed that the ABH emblem/logo wasn’t embossed on the front of the palette or on the brush. 99% of the pictures that I’ve found online have these emblems, but I noticed that your palette front looks like mine. 🙂 Can you tell me if your brush has the ABH emblem/logo on it?
I’m wondering if perhaps the package varies from one retailer to another.
Thank you so much and I love your review!
