An Oily Skin Guide to Foundations | My Favorites | Estee Lauder Double Wear Lorac Sheer POREfection Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream Revlon Colorstay Makeup for Combo/Oily Skin Fiona Stiles Matte Finish
Happy Sunday! Today's post will be all about my favorite foundation for oily skin. But if you're combo or dry, don't worry, still stick around because of these foundations can work for all skin types. I personally think it can be difficult to find foundations that truly keep you matte all day. Even of these foundations, which I love, still, require blotting throughout the day. But upon first application, they mattify my skin and last throughout most of the day.

Estee Lauder Double Wear

The first foundation might be an obvious choice for those with oily skin, and it is the Estee Lauder Double Wear ($42). This foundation is the most heavy duty, both in coverage and staying power. Even with my oily skin, this keeps my matte, is full coverage, and keeps my makeup matte all day long. The only downside is the shade selection, which I spoke about in a previous post. I find that I can't really wear this in the winter, so I just mix it with a white foundation to make my perfect shade match.

Lorac Sheer POREfection*

The next foundation is a lighter choice, and it's the Lorac Sheer POREfection*. I have a full review here you can read ($35), but this is a light-medium coverage foundation that helps minimize pores, and for me, it keeps my pretty matte throughout the day. Granted, I have to do the proper prep work with primer and powder, but with all these things combined, I can get away without blotting for around seven hours. Because of this, I think this is a great choice for all skin types.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless

My next favorite is the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless ($7.99), and it's my favorite option from the drugstore. This is a medium-full coverage foundation that is specifically made for those with oily skin and large pores. I love how this looks like nothing on my skin, gets helps mattify and cover imperfections and discoloration. The only downside is that this doesn't come with a pump, so I just added my own. Also, good news for dry and combo skin, Maybelline makes another foundation specifically for your skin type!

Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream

Another drugstore option is the Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream ($8.49). I love this because it's lighter, so it's perfect for summer, but it adds medium coverage and does an amazing job at keeping my matte all day. I find that BB creams are normally geared towards those with dry skin, so it adds a glowy look. But this one is made to appear matte, and it feels and looks so light on the skin.

Revlon Colorstay Makeup for Combo/Oily Skin

I remember in the early days of YouTube, the Revlon Colorstay Makeup for Combo/Oily Skin ($12.99) was the best foundation. I never tried it because it didn't have a pump and I would hate the mess. But a while back they re-released the foundation with a pump, and I am so glad they did! My review says it all, but I find this is similar to the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless, but the staying power on this is the best I've seen in the drugstore. Also, similar to the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless, they make another formula for dry and normal skin types.

Fiona Stiles Matte Finish

My last favorite is a new addition to my favorites, and it is the Fiona Stiles Matte Finish ($7.50). First of all, I love the packaging with the frosted glass and the cap is beautiful. As for the formula, this is a medium coverage foundation that blends beautifully on the skin. It's very easy to build up, and this can keep me matte all day. It's a shame that Fiona Stiles is going out of Ulta, but hopefully they'll bring this back, it's fantastic!

What are your favorite foundations for oily skin? All the dry-skin readers, have you tried any of these foundations? Do you like them?
